Is unspoken sin holding you back? Your past stops here. Say this prayer of repentance and start your Christian Walk today , living a life of salvation and spiritual freedom.
Have you ever thought that someone’s sin might just be that they never asked God to forgive them? It is easy to feel unworthy to talk to Him, but HIS LOVE supersedes everything we have ever done! We all come to Him with different things in our upbringing and life’s experiences, but some people are good natured and stay away from easily identifiable sins but if we don’t ask for forgiveness. We will never receive it.
If you have just never known what to say or how to approach our Heavenly Father, just say the prayer below sincerely from your heart. He will hear you and answer your prayer. Make sure to send your testimony, and prayer requests so we can celebrate and stand with you as you wait on God.
Come to Me, all who are weary and heavily burdened [by religious rituals that provide no peace], and I will give you rest [refreshing your souls with salvation].
— Matthew 11:28 AMP
How to Repent and Seek God’s Forgiveness
If the scripture above describes how you feel emotionally, psychologically, physically, and spiritually, take the next step and pray this prayer to invite the presence of God to live in your heart, body, and soul. Go to a quiet place free of distractions. Take a deep breath, to release all the cares of this life into His hands. Then read this prayer out loud so Satan and the demons in hell will know you are sincere and coming against the power of their attacks on you with the blood of Jesus!

Heavenly Father,
I come before You with a heart heavy with regret and longing for Your mercy and relief. I confess that I have strayed from Your ways—through my thoughts, my words, and my actions. I’ve allowed sin to harden places in my heart, and I’ve behaved in ways that dishonor You and the love You’ve shown me.
Lord, I repent. Not just in words, but from deep within. I no longer want to live divided—one foot in the world, and one in Your truth. I’m tired of carrying guilt, shame, and pride. I lay them all down at Your feet. Every habit, every hidden sin, every addiction, every moment of disrespect and rebellion—I give to You. I don’t want them anymore.
Your Word says in Romans 10:9, If you acknowledge and confess with your mouth that Jesus is Lord [recognizing His power, authority, and majesty as God], and believe in your heart that God (the father, emphases PG) raised Him from the dead, you will be saved. Lord, I declare it now—Jesus is Lord. Not just in name, but in the way I live, in the choices I make, and in the surrender of my will to Yours. I believe with all my heart that Jesus died and rose again so I could be forgiven, restored, and made new. I receive Your salvation with awe and gratitude.
Wash me clean, Father God. Break and destroy every chain that holds me back from truly following You. Where I’ve been selfish, teach me humility. Where I’ve been angry, fill me with peace. Where I’ve walked away from You, lead me back home to your loving arms of protection.
I surrender it all—my desires, my plans, my past, and my future. I give You my whole life, not just the parts that are easy to offer. Mold me, shape me, and use me for Your glory. Teach me to walk in obedience, to love deeply, and to live in a way that honors who You are.
Thank You for never giving up on me. Thank you for being a God of second chances. Thank You for Your mercy that meets me here now and daily hereafter. I choose You again today, and every day forward.
In the mighty name of Jesus,
Amen
Welcome To the Body of Christ…
Congratulations, that was one of the most important steps you could take to show God how much you love Him and how much you love you! In order to love your neighbor as you love yourself, you HAVE TO love you first! Today, IS the first day of the rest of your life.
In fact, you will continue to say a version of this prayer daily until you meet the Father face to face. You may say, “Lord forgive me, I am sorry and I will never do it again.” Or “Lord I am sorry, please forgive me and help me to have the strength to never do that or anything close to it again.” The point is after taking the first step; to keep walking on the straight and narrow path. We need God’s forgiveness daily.
Now below you will find additional scriptures for support in your new walk with God and some for you to research. The battles ahead of you require fighting spiritually and you need to have the Word of God in your heart and memory to do it. Check out this post that explain how prayer, fasting, and belief help you to overcome everything Satan can throw at you.
Bible Tips: Studying to Show Yourself Approved
If you are new to reading the bible, select one of the scriptures below; to read in the NIV, AMP, NKJV, GW, ASV, or KJV and see how well it helps you to understand and apply what you read. If none of these work use biblegateway.com and read it in other versions until you find one you understand.
Whichever version/(s) of the bible gives you clarity is your bible study method moving forward, especially when you are reading God’s Word by yourself. Yes, use this method in all of your bible study sessions. It will help you give revelational feedback during the classes you attend. I use 3-4 favorites when I am stuck.
Bible Verse location: Book Name Chapter: verse (i.e. Romans 12:2-5, is the book of Romans Chapter 12, verses 2 through 5). Then some books have ordinal numbers; like 1Peter 3:4.
The “1” in 1 Peter 3:4 is called the ordinal numeral or numerical designation of the book; it describes the sequence (First, Second, Third, etc.) of books with the same author or title. It means “First” Peter, as opposed to Second Peter.
Additional Scriptures
“And do not be conformed to this world [any longer with its superficial values and customs], but be transformed and progressively changed [as you mature spiritually] by the renewing of your mind [focusing on godly values and ethical attitudes], so that you may prove [for yourselves] what the will of God is, that which is good and acceptable and perfect [in His plan and purpose for you].”
— Romans 12:2 AMP
“I have been crucified with Christ [that is, in Him I have shared His crucifixion]; it is no longer I who live, but Christ lives in me. The life I now live in the body I live by faith [by adhering to, relying on, and completely trusting] in the Son of God, who loved me and gave Himself up for me.”

Questions…Contact Us & Find Your House of Worship
We are here to help you navigate this wonderful new season. Finding a supportive, Bible-teaching church is the next crucial step in your walk with God. Where ever you decide to worship is it important to understand the delivery of the Wod of God.
The Next Step: Finding Your Church Home
We urge you to pray and actively search for a local congregation where you can grow. Here are key things to look for as you search for a Bible-teaching church:
- Is the Bible the Main Authority?
- Look for a church that handles Scripture accurately. Is the sermon a deep dive into the Bible, or is the Bible just used to support a topic?
- Do they have a clear Statement of Faith (often found on their website) that aligns with the core truths of Christianity?
- Is the Gospel Central?
- The message should focus on Jesus Christ’s finished work (His death, resurrection, and sacrifice) as the source of salvation, not on human effort or “being a better person.”
- Is there Genuine Community?
- Do you feel a sense of warmth and welcoming? Do people connect beyond the Sunday service in small groups or fellowships?
- Are there opportunities for you to serve (like joining a ministry)? Being involved is key to growth!
After you feel welcomed, join the sub-ministries that will help you grow in Jesus.
If you enjoy talking to people you may be a greeter for the Usher Board. If you are gifted to sing or want to learn to sing join the choir and or praise team. You get the point. Being involved in the ministry will help you learn more about the love and character of God.
We love questions and will respond as quickly as possible. Thank you for supporting Perpetualgro, Subscribe, Follow, and Join the StediGro Fam so you can get all of the latest inspiration that God provides to us to share.
May this video give you additional encouragement.
May God keep you in perfected peace, divine health, and abundance
Remember: A “perfect” church does not exist, but a healthy one does. Pray for wisdom and be patient in your search. It’s better to drive a little further for sound teaching than to settle for a church that doesn’t nourish your soul.
